Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians

Legal representation for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians Leeds

Our expert employment law solicitors offer specialist representation for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in all cases presented by the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).

The Regulatory Process

The disciplinary process, as outlined by the General Pharmaceutical Council, is carried out according to the following procedure.

Investigation

An inspector will gather all evidence arising from complaints and carry out an inspection of premises where required. Evidence and information relating to their defence must be provided by the pharmacist or pharmacy technician.

An investigating committee will decide whether or not the case should be presented at a hearing if the evidence suggests further investigation. A suspension, delivered by interim order by the fitness to practice committee, may be administered to the pharmacist or pharmacy technician at any point of the investigation.
